The company’s principal, David Kelly, announced the
appointment of Ascertus Ltd, of London, this week.
In announcing the appointment Mr Kelly said he was delighted to have secured the support of Ascertus, a specialist information technology company set up by well known British IT experts, Roy Russell and Steve Tomalin.
To mark the takeover of the distribution and support of the Trapeze technology by Ascertus Ltd, the full range of the Trapeze family of software is to belaunched at a London function on February 28 2001 at the Cora Community Campus, 49 Mecklenburg Square, London, WC1N 2QA.
Onstream has successfully marketed its products into the UK
market for some years, securing a number of large Government sites, including the British Land Registry. Besides the Land Registry, Onstream has nine other local Government sites in the UK as well as legal and financial sites.
Onstream also has large clients in corporate, business, government, local government authorities and imaging bureaux in Europe, the USA and the Asia/Pacific region.
Mr Kelly said the decision had been made to appoint a UK distributor and support agency because of the growth in the UK market for the Trapeze™ Desktop and ancillary products.
"There are so many people and organisations interested in our revolutionary web-based product that we had to lift our presence in the UK to service our existing clients as well as the large number of potential clients."
"Ascertus", he said, "besides supplying a sales force, will also provide a support desk, as well as programming and integration backup.
Onstream will train the Ascertus staff in the UK.
