WRSystems, Ltd. provides the key to installing sophisticated redaction software RapidRedact™ into a number of US Fortune 500 companies

The software could also prove a boon for Government organisations, legal firms and businesses forced to publish electronic information they hold without infringing privacy legislation and other reporting compliance obligations.

WRSystems Ltd, a highly respected US systems engineering, product development and information technology (IT) support services firm, signed a value-added reseller relationship with Onstream Systems Ltd earlier this year

This relationship has provided Onstream Systems Ltd with the key to installing its sophisticated, redaction software, RapidRedact™, into a number of US Fortune 500 companies.

It also has provided openings for this “fail-safe” software to be sold into the top echelons of US Government, business and industry, with WR Systems people already scheduled for installation and maintenance training in New Zealand.

Operating for 22 years, WRSystems has a rapidly expanding customer base which includes the US Navy, Coast Guard, Army and Air Force, the US Department of Justice, Missile Defence Agency, General Services Administration, Department of Energy, Drug Enforcement Administration, several commercial gas and electric utilities in addition to these Fortune 500 companies.

It has already sold RapidRedact™ into a Fortune 500 company with more than 40,000 employees although the agreement with Onstream Systems is less than three months old. “RapidRedact is a well put together, robust product which both complements existing systems, and is also great for use as a secure stand-alone system,” said Chuck Woods, WRSystems’ Director. He noted that the software was the primary Onstream Systems product his organisation is introducing in the US.

WRSystems, which has some 300 employees, is a Value Added Reseller of Laserfiche and a Tower Software Business Alliance Partner. They have a long record of successfully implementing electronic document and records management systems among a diverse range of customers.

Looking to market RapidRedact™ into its widespread client-base for use in insurance and financial services, payroll and personnel information, legal services and law enforcement, it also plans to introduce Onstream's Trapeze™, image and document retrieval and management software, to its client base.

Commenting on the relationship with WRSystems, Onstream Systems principal, David Kelly, said, “We have been looking for some time for a strong reseller with integrity in the North American market to service the growing demand for RapidRedact™. I believe they have that integrity and can add value to our marketing efforts in the North American region.”

Kelly said the state-of-the-art RapidRedact™ software launched last year in the US, provided a foolproof, failsafe method of “censoring or redacting sensitive information from documents before publication.”

Sold worldwide it is the first software which allows publishers of electronic information in any Windows-based document to economically and rapidly prevent the accidental leakage of sensitive data.
